Trained responders must commence Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) without delay to artificially maintain oxygen flow to the brain and vital organs. Should a baby be recovered from the water, the rescuer must immediately adapt their clinical approach and administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation for infants, utilising precise two finger compressions and controlled rescue breaths to safely accommodate their fragile anatomy.
